A practical software buying checklist
What to check before buying
an MT5 gold trading bot.
A bot’s chart and profit figure are only part of the picture. Check the environment, evidence and delivery process before making a purchase.

Your quick checklist
- Does the actual release support your account and gold contract?
- Can you identify the version and conditions behind its historical results?
- Are licence, delivery, support and refund terms written down?
- Will your payment be matched to your own order?
- Do you know who will help install it and how to stop new entries?
1. Check more than the broker name
MT5 availability does not establish that every trading program works with every broker account. Confirm the desktop platform, account currency, account mode, exact gold symbol and contract details. A familiar symbol label can still have different volume steps, tick size, stop limits or execution settings.
Hedging and netting account systems handle positions differently. A strategy using independent positions and partial closing needs its supported account mode confirmed; do not assume those mechanics transfer unchanged. See the official MQL5 partial-close reference.
2. Read the assumptions behind the results
Record the strategy version, test dates, starting balance, fixed or changing position size, data quality and included costs. Keep historical tests separate from forward simulated-account records and real-account statements. A profitable sample and a losing sample both need their context.
Independent calendar-year tests do not automatically form a continuous compounded account history. Similarly, multiplying a historical figure by a capital ratio is arithmetic, not a newly tested result or an earnings forecast. Review losses, drawdown and execution limitations alongside gains.
For MG1.0, the monthly record identifies separate annual resets and the tested session. Its archived performance does not validate the modified customer candidate or an expanded session.
3. Know exactly what the price includes
Ask for the supported account count, licence duration, delivered version, installation scope and support period. Confirm any limits on account changes and future upgrades. Trading capital, broker charges and hosting should be distinguished from the software price.
Get an actual delivery deadline and cancellation/refund terms in writing before payment. A one-time price does not by itself mean instant delivery, unlimited accounts or lifetime support.
4. Keep payment and installation linked to your order
Use the personal order reference supplied by the seller and follow the payment provider’s exact currency, network, amount and expiry. A return page or payment screenshot alone is not a verified settlement. If a status is unclear, contact the team with the reference before sending another payment.
Confirm the appointment date and timezone separately. A saved enquiry or an unpaid invoice should not be treated as an installed product or a reserved session.
5. Keep control during setup
An MT5 Expert Advisor is attached to a chart and has its own operating permissions, as explained in the official MetaTrader installation help. Review the agreed symbol, timeframe and settings before activation.
Keep automated trading disabled while checking installation. Enter passwords yourself, agree any screen sharing and never send wallet seeds or private keys. Ask how stopping new entries differs from interrupting management of existing positions. A startup check does not require placing a real trade.
Checking MG1.0 for your setup?
MG1.0 is listed at $499 USD one-time. Its current customer candidate is being validated. The technical scope is Windows MT5, USD hedging and an actual XAU/USD gold contract on M1. Your compatible release and written purchase terms must be confirmed before payment.
